Charger girls down Mathews and Northampton; fall to Rappahannock

As of last week, Middlesex High School’s (MHS) varsity volleyball team was 5-2 in the Tidewater District and 8-8 overall after losing to Rappahannock and defeating Mathews and Northampton.
On Oct. 11, powerful Rap-pahannock defeated Middlesex in three sets, 25-14, 25-22 and 25-17, at MHS.
“We played well all during the game and served at 93% as a team,” said Lady Charger Coach Brian Walton.
At home against Northampton on Oct. 14, Middlesex won in three sets 25-12, 25-20, and 28-26.
Coach Walton said his team continues to improve as the regular season winds down…
