Urbanna Baptist Church (UBC) invites you to its Sunday, October 17, 11 a.m. worship service to hear the Rev. Mike Dobson speak about “Hope for Appalachia.”
Rev. Dobson is the Virginia State Coordinator of the program. He graduated from seminary with a Master of Arts in Religion and has served as pastor at New Salem Baptist Church in Culpeper since 2010.
Prior to being called to the ministry, Rev. Dobson served 33 years in law enforcement, retiring as a lieutenant from the Virginia Beach Police Department.
Learn how Hope for Appalachia ministers to “the least of these” in the Appalachian mountains of Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia. The ministry provides much needed school supplies and hygiene products through the gift of a Hope Box to children living in some of the most impoverished counties in the United States.
