The Middlesex High School varsity Lady Charger volleyball team is 5-7 after winning two of four matches played in a week.
On Sept. 27, the Lady Chargers won the first two sets at Northumberland, 25-18 and 25-22, but Northumberland rallied, winning the next three sets 25-18, 25-10, 15-12.
On Sept. 28, Middlesex defeated host West Point in four sets. After losing the first set 25-15, the Lady Chargers took the next three games 25-20, 25-23 and 26-24.
On Sept. 30, visiting King William defeated Middlesex in three sets, 25-21, 25-16 and 25-13.
On Oct. 4, Middlesex defeated visiting Washington and Lee in four sets.
