A lot more and younger.
That summarizes how Middlesex High School (MHS) Boys Cross Country Coach Michael Pierce said his current crop of runners compare to last season’s team. “I think they will do good and it will be even better down the road,” Coach Pierce told the Sentinel Friday. “We have a lot of young talented runners. Our outlook is good and their ability is good, considering their age.”
However, Coach Pierce, now in his eighth year as MHS boys cross country coach, knows having a youthful team brings challenges. “They have a lot to learn,” he said. “Running is very technical and you have to know your pace…
