At the end of five months of construction, this past Saturday, Aug. 28, members of the Christian Skaters group and other skateboarders tested out the new skate park at Cooks Corner. The park is built on and around an old, county-owned concrete basketball court in front of the Middlesex Pet Friends for Life Dog Park. Skip Crader, a longtime resident of Middlesex County, was one of the first to make the test run of the park.
In the coming days the park guidelines signage and final inspection will be completed. A grand opening will be scheduled soon. To connect with the local Christian Skaters club, email the Rev. Aaron Wells at aaron.purelifechurch@gmail.com. The Rev. Wells is pastor of Pure Life Church in Middlesex County.
