The Virginia Pesticide Collection Program will take in unwanted, outdated or banned pesticides for safe disposal 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31 at the Hartfield Fire Department, 3309 Twiggs Ferry Road.
The collection is among several taking place across the state under direction of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. They are open to farmers, pesticide dealers, pest control firms, certified applicators, homeowners and golf course operators, a VDACS press release said.
