Chargers to take on Blue Devils again Friday in season opener

The Middlesex High School (MHS) football team scrimmaged the Mathews High School Blue Devils on Friday night at Mathews.
“Both teams did well,” said MHS Head Coach Joel Anderson. “Mathews did a nice job hosting the scrimmage and putting it together to have us.
“The scrimmage showed us we have a lot of work to do but the kids played hard and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun,” said Anderson. “It was really nice to see everyone out supporting these young athletes.”
The Chargers will host Mathews this coming Friday night at the Syd Thrift Athletic Complex in Saluda…
