Middlesex County Public Schools (MCPS) is excited to fully open our doors to all students on Aug. 23! Returning to some sense of “normalcy” has been our goal and we are pleased that our students will be entering this school year attending full in-person learning five days per week.
MCPS welcomed back the entire staff on Aug. 16 and as the efforts shift to the start of the 2021-2022 school year we will Refocus, Refine, and Re-engage. This school year is almost like the first day of school for everyone and we will refocus ourselves and our students on their immediate and long-term needs. We recognize we also learned a lot during the last 17 months. There are some strategies that will serve us better in classrooms and some instructional practices, that we had not fully developed, were tried and are better for student learning. We know we will also be re-engaging our families. Some of our students have not physically been in a classroom since March 2020 and we want all of our students to be excited to be back with their teachers.
All of our schools will be hosting open house today, Thursday, Aug. 19, from 4-7 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!
