Twice, the Deltaville Deltas found themselves facing their deficits against teams fighting for wins to make the playoffs. Twice they fought back, and kept their undefeated streak alive.
Deltaville defeated the Richmond Avalanche and Richmond Smokies over the weekend, and mathematically clinched the top seed in the Richmond NABA standings. The wins propelled the Deltas to a 13-0-1 overall mark on the season.
This weekend, the Deltas host their final two home games of the season. On Friday night, the Richmond Brewers visit for the second time this season, and on Saturday, the Richmond Dodgers are on tap for the regular season finale. Both games at Deltaville Ballpark begin at 7:30 p.m. Before Saturday night’s game, the Middlesex Senior Little League Softball All-Star team will be recognized on the field for its 2021 District Championship and state tournament appearance.
