Namgung to serve as new Lower UMC pastor

Lower United Methodist Church (LUMC) welcomed its new pastor, the Rev. Yosub Namgung, and his wife, Minjung Kim, on Sunday, July 4.

Yosub Namgung was born and grew up in Taebaek, South Korea. His father is a pastor of the Korean Methodist Church. He grew up in a Methodist tradition. Even though Yosub was called when he was 18 years old, he needed the time to explore and to confirm the calling.

Yosub earned his bachelor’s degree in Theology at Mokwon University in South Korea. He entered Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Ill., in 2006, and he graduated with M.Div degree in 2009. For further study, he enrolled at ….
