Crump, Houston power Deltaville Deltas past Chesapeake Sharks

The Deltaville Deltas’ Travis Crump and Jacob Houston each homered, and their team defeated the Chesapeake Sharks by the score of 10-4 on Saturday night at Deltaville Ballpark.

Baseballs were exploding off the Deltas’ bats in the first two innings almost as frequently as the fireworks surrounding the ballpark that evening. Crump launched the first pitch of the bottom of the first inning high over the right field wall to give Deltaville an immediate 1-0 lead, and Spencer Crittenden scored later in the inning off of a Matthew Sylvia RBI single.

In the second, Deltaville took advantage of a Sharks defensive error to plate a pair of runs to double….
