The Middlesex County Public Library (MCPL) system is having another busy week. From the start of the children’s Summer Reading Program, to expanded hours at both branch libraries, the MCPL system is the place to be.
The children’s Summer Reading Program officially kicked off on Tuesday with outdoor story time at the Deltaville branch library. Outdoor story times will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Deltaville branch, and at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays at the Urbanna branch through Aug. 4. The outdoor story times are immediately followed by Paws to Read, where children may read to well-behaved dogs in order to improve the children’s reading skills and confidence. Also, it’s not too late to sign up a child for the Summer Reading contest for age groups from 2-and-a-half year-olds up to rising eighth graders…
