Diploma in hand, Emilie Smith from Urbanna takes a moment to relax in a creekside Adirondack chair after working hard to graduate with highest honors from Shenandoah University in Winchester on May 23, 2021. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Psychology, summa cum laude, with a double minor in Criminal Justice and Public Health. She was a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society, the Psi Chi International Honors Society for Psychology, the Presidential Scholars program, and a graduate from the first cohort ever of the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Program at Shenandoah. She finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.91 and throughout her academic career she remained on the dean’s and president’s lists every semester. Emilie will pursue her Master’s in Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at West Virginia University starting in August. (Contributed)
