Anderson, Beverley pace MHS track girls

The Middlesex High School (MHS) girls track team finished third as a team in the Region A track meet on June 8 at West Point High School.

The Lady Chargers were paced by seniors Lane Anderson and Airiana Beverley, who grabbed first place finishes in the shot put and discus and long jump respectively.

Anderson won the shot put with a 41’3” throw and the discus with a 123’ 2” throw while Beverley won the long jump with a 15’2” jump. Anderson and Beverley will be top performers in the upcoming 1A District state track and field championships at James Madison University in Harrisonburg on June 18.

Others to score in the meet were Dominae Ivery, fifth in the 100 meter hurdles (21.6) and 200 meters, sixth (33.29); and Beverley, high jump, third (4’8”) and triple jump, second (31’4”).
