MHS soccer boys shut out West Point

Chargers down Pointers 4-0, remain undefeated

The Middlesex High School (MHS) undefeated varsity boys soccer team (4-0) survived a stingy West Point defense last week to beat the Pointers, 4-0. 

The Chargers controlled the game from the start, but were unable to take the lead until the 20-minute mark when Nathan Hogge sent a Laney Hall pass past the goalkeeper and in for a score.

“As the West Point backline was well organized, it presented problems for us,” said head coach Macky Hall. “I was glad we showed some early patience, and was glad to get to halftime with a lead. From there, we made some adjustments to get balls into spaces…”
