Marvin Lee Presson Jr. died Friday, April 2, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lora Gordon Presson and Marvin Lee Presson Sr.
He was the beloved husband of almost 48 years to Linda Bray Presson, devoted father of Matthew Presson (Carmen Germino), cherished grandfather “Unny” of Christopher, and a dear friend to many.
He was born in Richmond in 1939. Following graduation from the University of Richmond, he served in the Virginia Air National Guard and began a long career at Reynolds Metals.
In his leisure time, he was a woodworker, guitarist, tennis player, jazz afficionado, boat captain, teller of stories, collector of hats, and a clarinetist in both the Thomas Jefferson Cadet Corps Alumni Band and the Henrico Community Band. He treasured time spent with family and friends at Shrine Mont and in Urbanna.
A private burial for family and close friends will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Middlesex County Volunteer Fire Department or to Shrine Mont Episcopal Camp and Retreat Center in Orkney Springs.
