MHS track boys first in five-way and quad meets

The Middlesex High School (MHS) boys track team won a quad meet with 124 points on Tuesday, May 11, defeating Lancaster (122), Charles City (55) and King & Queen Central (54 points).

The Chargers came back on Friday, May 14, and won a five-team meet with 129 points surpassing Essex, second (45); Carver Academy, third (32); King & Queen, fourth (30); and Washington and Lee, fifth, 29 points.

In the meet on May 11, the MHS boys captured first place wins in six events.

In the meet on May 14 Head Coach Joel Anderson said, “Overall it was another great meet. I am very happy on how well the team is improving each and every week with us having such a short season. It is good to see progress in such a short time.”

The Chargers will host Lancaster, Essex and Rappahannock today, Thursday, May 20…
