Middlesex High School’s girls tennis team emerged victorious in several individual sets in action last week against visiting Rappahannock, but fell overall, 3-6.
Charger girls winning their individual set include, first singles, Maddie Green, 8-1; fourth singles, Katherine Brooke, 8-3; and, exhibition singles, Chessa Lowery, 4-2. Falling to Rappahannock were, third singles, Maddie Hurd, 2-8; fifth singles, Hunter Dunlevy, 1-8; and sixth singles, Makayla Seamster, 2-8.
In doubles action, Middlesex’s third doubles, Brooke-Dunlevy, won 8-6. Charger girls falling in doubles action include, first doubles, Green-Reinhardt, 4-8; and, second doubles, Hurd-Seamster, 2-6.
In upcoming 4 p.m. girls tennis matches, Middlesex visits Mathews on Monday, May 17; and Middlesex visits Northampton on Tuesday, May 18.
