Special in-person Mass, picnic set for this Sunday
by Don Richeson –
Topping’s Catholic Church of the Visitation continues to make great progress towards the scheduled completion of its new addition in September or early October, reports Parish Council rep Roseanne Moncure. “Tile is being ordered; stained glass is being readied; pews are being manufactured,” Moncure wrote in an email to the Sentinel recently. “The church will finally have kneelers!”
Special Mass, picnic
Church of the Visitation will have a special in-person Mass at 12:30 p.m. this Sunday, May 16, followed by a picnic. “This will be a moment for us to celebrate the many blessings the Lord has given us despite these trying times,” Father Gerald Kaggwa, the church’s pastor, said in a post on the church’s website. “One thing to celebrate is the gift of new members who have joined our parish since last year. We did not have a time to welcome them. This will be that occasion to know them better and welcome them officially as part of our parish family.”
