Charger girls enter season’s final stretch boasting 10-0 record

In recent action, the Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity Lady Charger volleyball team defeated Lancaster, Mathews, and King and Queen to stretch its undefeated record to 10-0 with two games left in the regular season.

On March 26 at Lancaster the Lady Chargers defeated the Lady Red Devils 25-18, 25-17 and 26-24.

In that match Lady Charger Airiana Beverley added 13 kills to tie the MHS school record for career kills at 617, with two games left in the shortened regular season. A kill is a hit that is not returned. She also had six digs.

For the Lady Chargers, Laura Walton had three aces, four kills, 27 assists and eight digs. Ella Hodges had six kills and three solo blocks. Ellie McMinn had five aces, seven kills and one dig. Libero Elizabeth Ketner led the Lady Charger defense with 16 digs. Aniyah Thompson had 12 digs and one ace.

Also for Middlesex, Katie Brooke had three kills, Lilly Taylor had two kills, Lane Anderson had one kill, and Emma Oliver served at 100 percent with one ace.
