The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors is moving ahead with support of a skateboard park near the old Rappahannock Central Elementary (RCE) School at Cooks Corner.
At the supervisors March 2 meeting, they voted to accept a memorandum of understanding (MOU) created by County Attorney Heather Lewis to enter an agreement with Triangle Skateboard Alliance (TSA) in Williamsburg. TSA is a nonprofit organization founded to build and improve skateparks in the Tidewater region.
Supervisors agreed to accept a $2,545 donation from TSA in the form of equipment for a proposed skatepark at Cooks Corner at no cost to the county.
