Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital and Three Rivers Health District are working in partnership to increase COVID-19 vaccination opportunities for the 25,000 area Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck residents eligible to receive vaccinations.
“The Virginia Department of Health is appreciative of its partnership with Bon Secours to establish a community vaccination center,” said Richard S. Williams, MD, MPH, district director, Three Rivers District, Virginia Department of Health. “We see this clinic as an important addition to the capacity of our other partners to vaccinate all citizens as supplies and eligibility expand.”
This clinic is by appointment only, using the Virginia Department of Health pre-registration list, which establishes various priorities. Eligible participants will be directly contacted for appointments.
Both clinical and non-clinical volunteers are needed for the clinics. Emergency COVID-19 vaccination legislation created to expand staffing capacity defines vaccinator eligibility as any person licensed by a health regulatory board within the Department of Health Professions whose license is in good standing or was in good standing within the 20 years immediately prior to lapsing.
Individuals interested in volunteering for the Bon Secours Community Vaccination Clinic are urghed to email rghvaccine@gmail.com for information.
