Artists should apply now
After very careful and thorough examination of currently available COVID-19 related information, the Arts in the Middle (AIM) Board of Directors decided to move forward with the annual spring Arts in the Middle Fine Arts Festival on June 5-6 at Hewick Plantation.
“We looked at state and federal guidelines and relevant online information; consulted with returning participating artists; considered data-based local and state trends for COVID-19 cases and vaccination rates; and we threw into the mix twhe fact that this will be an outside event in warm weather,” AIM President Celane Roden said in announcing the festival will move forward.
“We strongly feel we can distance artists’ booths and stringently follow federal/state COVID guidelines, safely hosting this outdoor art event,” Event Coordinator Brindley Lowe said. “We look forward to welcoming our artists and the visiting public to Hewick in early June.”
With this decision made, we are now soliciting local artists to display works…
