Middlesex’s golf team is loaded with talent

The Middlesex High School (MHS) golf team will kick off its 2020-2021 season this month with top golfers, Peyton Lambert and Thomas Wilson returning from the 2019-2020 team.

An All-State performer, Lambert finished 14th individually as a freshman last year in the Class 1 Virginia High School League Golf Tournament conducted at the Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech in Radford.

Wilson was one of five top MHS golfers on the team last year who competed in the Region A meet held at Hobbs Hole Golf Course in Tappahannock.

Linton Robins is also returning from last year’s team. New golfers on the team are Hudson McMinn, Garrison Robins and Jackson Murray.

The Chargers finished fourth last year in the region as a team with five area schools participating…
