Middlesex High School’s (MHS) volleyball star Elizabeth Ketner signed a letter of intent Wednesday, Feb. 3, to play volleyball at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 3 Roanoke College in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).
A second team Virginia High School League Group 1-A all-state selection last year, Ketner has spent her career at MHS as the school’s top back-row defensive specialist (libero). “She has displayed extraordinary ball-control while playing the libero position and has been a key player in the success of the program,” said MHS Head Coach Brian Walton.
Over her three years at MHS, Ketner has had 736 digs and 149 serving aces and was named the Tidewater District and Region A Libero of the Year in her junior year.
She said at the signing, she is looking forward to playing her senior year at MHS and is hopeful COVID-19 will not interfere…
