Miss Jean Ellen Thrift, 67, of Chesterfield, formerly of Locust Hill, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Ripley Thrift, and her father, John William Thrift (“J.W.”), and survived by her cousins, Nola Jean White, Linda Lyons-Bailey, David R. Lyons, Perry Thomas Lyons, Carolyn McClure Robinson and many other cousins.
Jean Ellen was born in Richmond and raised in Hampton. She loved Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
The family acknowledges and thanks the staff of Lucy Corr Village for their excellent care.
Burial will take place at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Locust Hill; however, because of the pandemic, no services will be conducted at this time. A memorial gathering of friends and family will be announced at a later date.
Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda is assisting the family.
