The Rev. Joe McKnight is now serving as pastor of Hermitage Baptist Church. “Pastor Joe” is a veteran pastor of 30 years, pastoring most of this time as a senior pastor on the Eastern Shore of Virginia where he was born and raised.
He attended Liberty University in Lynchburg and was called to the ministry at age 17. He has served in local regional and state leadership positions with the Baptist General Association of Virginia.
Pastor Joe and wife Kelly have three daughters, Elizabeth, Emily and Holly; and two grandchildren, Jaxon and Connor. “The McKnight family comes to us from Cool Spring Baptist Church in Eure, N.C., and we are so blessed to have them join our Hermitage church family,” said a church spokesman.
