The Middlesex County Volunteer Fire Department (MCVFD) is sponsoring three evening “Santa’s Neighborhood Visit” events via fire truck in Urbanna, Remlik, Kilmer’s Point, Burrell’s Marina Road and Saluda.
“Although COVID-19 has canceled many Christmas events, we feel it is safe for Santa to visit our local neighborhoods from atop our fire truck,” said MCVFD Chief Ray Burch. “We have done this before and the community seemed to like it.”
“We hope that as Santa rides by, parents and children will come out in their yards and on their porches and wave to Santa,” said Burch. Santa will cancel his fire truck visits if it is raining during his scheduled visit times, said Burch.
Santa’s fire truck visits will run 6:30 to 8 p.m. each evening…
