SCW at-home projects a success

“Virtual” learning allowed schools to safely start the school year, but St. Clare Walker Middle School Technology Education Teacher Matthew Short appreciates that not all learning is virtual. With the students’ love for hands-on activities in mind, the teacher set out to design his virtual classes to be as similar as possible to the classes he taught in previous school years. With hybrid learning, students now also spend some days attending school in person. For information, email Teacher Short at mshort@mcps.k12.va.us or call SCW at 804-758-2561. (Contributed)

From staff reports

Matt Short, the St. Clare Walker Technology Education teacher, said not all learning needs to be “virtual.” With the students’ love for hands-on activities in mind, Short has designed his hybrid-virtual classes to be as similar as possible to the classes he taught in previous school years.
