Charger senior Lane Anderson bound for Ohio’s Bowling Green; was 2019 Class 1A state champ

Lane Anderson of Hartfield has signed a National Athletic Letter of Intent to throw the shot put and discus at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in Bowling Green, Ohio, for the 2021-22 women’s track season.
As a university participating in Division 1 NCAA college athletics, BGSU awards athletic scholarships.
Anderson received an incentive scholarship where she has been awarded guaranteed partial tuition funding and full coverage of books with incentive bonuses awarded if she meets designated goals.
Anderson is the 2019 Virginia State Division 1A state shot put champion and Middlesex High School (MHS) record holder. Anderson broke Ashae Burnett’s 2008 school shot put record of 37’ 4” in 2019.
She broke the MHS record with a 37’ 9” throw and then came back two weeks later breaking her own record with a 39’ 10” toss…
