Gloucester-based Virginia Rebellion 14U fastpitch softball team, which includes players from Middlesex County, travelled to Sterling Nov. 6-8 to compete in the USSSA Crown Trophy Fall Challenge. After a slow start on Saturday, the team battled back on Sunday from the eighth seed spot for a 9-7 win over the No. 1 seed, then 15-1 and 9-4 victories to win the 14U championship.
