Charlene Gayle Wilson Williams, 59, of Middlesex County, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Wilson and Jacquelyn Ford Jenkins.
She is survived by her two sons, David Williams Jr. and Brandon Williams (Sara); daughter, Kelley Carias (David); granddaughter, Kayleigh Carias; sister, Deborah Lindsay (Scott); niece, Jacquelyn Thomas; great-niece, Makenzie Wilson; many other extended family members and friends; and her faithful chihuahua, Phoebe.
She spent most of her adult life working in the health care industry as a nurse, but took a few years off to operate a home daycare center when her children were younger. She loved to read romance novels, write, tell stories, paint, craft and bake Christmas cookies with her granddaughter.
The family will receive visitors from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at Saluda Baptist Church. A private memorial service for family members will follow.
