
The Friends of Dragon Run (FODR) will be conducting its annual meeting as a Zoom (“virtual”) meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. This virtual meeting is open to all and will feature biologist Dr. Shawn Dash of Hampton University, a very entertaining, knowledgeable, and passionate speaker about the natural world. His presentation, titled “Natural History of the Chesapeake Bay,” is part ecology lecture, part wildlife exploration, and part love affair of the Bay. Dr. Dash describes his lecture as an introduction to the largest estuarine habitat in the U.S. According to Dr. Dash, “We will start as a tiny droplet of water falling from the foothills and travel to the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay.”
In the spring, summer and fall, member volunteers with FODR offer kayak trips down different portions of Dragon Run…
