This Saturday, Oct. 31, is Halloween and churches in Middlesex County and Love4Kids are planning to give out treats in four Trunk or Treat locations throughout Middlesex. “We wanted to provide a safe way to give and get treats this year,” said Cristie Jenkins of LIFT Children of Middlesex. Through LIFT, many churches are working together to give out safe treats to children in the county. Love4Kids is supporting each location with a trunk, volunteers and treats for children.
In addition to Love4Kids, other organizations and additional churches are joining to help out at different locations. Urbanna United Methodist Church, Immanuel Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church, Habitat for Humanity, Hands Across Middlesex and Middlesex Kiwanis Club are all helping.
The Halloween candy giveaways will be at four locations in Middlesex. These include, in alphabetical order:
- Antioch Baptist Church — 159 Oakes Landing Road in Saluda.
- Cryer Center — 7485 General Puller Highway in Locust Hill.
- Hermitage Baptist Church — 94 Wares Bridge Road in Church View.
- Zoar Baptist Church — 17097 General Puller Highway in Deltaville.
The fun runs 3-5 p.m. at each location…
