A fair number of library patrons keep up with a wide selection of the latest bestselling novels, but a few less stray regularly into the recently purchased non-fiction section. There are, of course, the expected new books on contemporary events and politics, but there are also books on a variety of historical topics.
New non-fiction books at the library range from the unexpected, like Michael Brooke’s “Far From Land: The Mysterious Lives of Seabirds,” to the ruthlessly practical, or perhaps impractical, like Denis Clifford’s “Plan your Estate” or Megan Weldon’s “An Almost Zero Waste Life: Learning How to Embrace Less To Live More.”
So the next time you go to the library…
