William Franklin Sibley, 83, of Topping, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020.
He was born in Middlesex County on Aug. 12, 1937 and was a lifelong resident. He worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation for 35 years and finished his career with 20 years at the Hartfield Convenience Center. Dicky’s passions were his family, his love of tractors and riding his bicycle.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Patsy Lee Sibley; his children, Curtis Sibley, Bobby Sibley, Sarah Sibley and Margarette McGraw. He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Hayden and Peggy Sanford; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was conducted at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Topping. Arrangements were by Faulkner Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda.
