Edward Shield “Hezzie” Soles, 81, of Urbanna, passed away on Monday, Oct. 5, 2020.
Hezzie retired from the federal government as a heavy equipment operator.
He loved his river life at his home on Kilmer’s Point with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 40 years, Martha Jean Soles; and his dog, Jake.
He is survived by his son, E. Garry Soles; his stepson, Stan Dameron; sisters, Irma Hite and Barbara Berry; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is planned for 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12 at Forest Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Warner. Arrangements by Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda.
