Outdoor diners get tables

The Urbanna Beautification Inc. (UBI) and others in the community are encouraging outside dining in town. UBI has purchased six picnic tables to provide seating for carry-out town restaurant customers. The new tables are located in the lot next to the Middlesex County Woman’s Club building and on the lot between the post office and ABC store referred to as the “Town Green.” Something Different and Bubba’s Shrimp Shack restaurants have “adopted” the picnic tables and will sanitize and maintain them. During this COVID-19 pandemic, the Urbanna Beautification Inc. (UBI) is working to find ways to help town businesses conduct business safely.

“We are trying to do the best we can to make things safe, cheerful and bright during these awkward times of COVID-19,” said UBI Director Karen Lowe.

The group has purchased six picnic tables for two outside dining areas to be used by take-out restaurant customers. The areas are located on the “Town Green” between the post office and ABC store and the new “Town Commons” area next to the Middlesex County Woman’s Club…
