The Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary (MCVRSA) is requesting the public leave donated items for their Bargains & Treasures Flea Market at the store in Deltaville only on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Store manager Janet Seay said this week that people are leaving large sofas and other items in the parking lot on days when the store is closed.
“We greatly appreciate the support from the community donating items that we can sell to raise funds for our Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad (MCVRS),” said Seay. “However, we need to be on site when they are donated. When large and other items are left outside in the weather they get ruined.”
When items are ruined or too large for space in the store the organization has to have those items removed from the property. Publicity chairman June Williams said the flea market is manned by all women volunteers. “Many times it takes a truck and several men to haul the items away,” she said.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the MCVRSA has stopped offering bingo…
