Willie Edward Holt Sr. was born on Feb. 28, 1957 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
On Aug. 3, 2020, Willie went to be with our Lord. “The golden gates stood open and God took him home.” Precious memories of Willie will always be in the hearts of his family and friends.
Willie attended Pittsburgh public schools. He was a 1975 graduate of Westinghouse High School.
After high school, he went to work at U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh. He relocated to Urbanna, where he was employed as a heavy equipment operator at West Point Chips. He enjoyed Christmas, fishing, family activities and family vacation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Annie Lee Holt; stepson, Anthony Crew; and his beloved sister, Nancy Lee Holt.
Left to cherish and mourn his passing are his loving and devoted wife, Karla Holt; sons, Willie Holt Jr., Will Holt; stepson, Amir Prater; stepdaughter, Ericka Crew; sisters, Shirley Ann York (Joan), Dana Smith (Aaron); nieces, Ashanti York, Tamika Holt, Naomi Abdullah; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, cousins and friends that he held close to his heart.
Services will be private. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, is assisting the family.
