Wings, Wheels and Keels off due to COVID-19

“Gotcha,” a North American T-6 Texan, climbs into the Hummel Airfield sky in Topping during the 24th Wings, Wheels & Keels on Saturday, September 28, 2019. The 800-horsepower aircraft has been modified for the T-6 racing series. These models started life as an advance aircraft trainer in World War II and remained in use worldwide into the 1970s. Exotic and classic cars at the event totaled 163, said Jack Ashburn, president of Memory Lane Car Club. Boats on display included a restored 1932 Chris-Craft, Virginia Outlaw Drag Boats and Smith Island Crab Skiff racers.

Wings, Wheels and Keels has been cancelled for 2020. This would have been the 25th anniversary of the September show that attracts vintage and unusual aircraft, cars and boats to Hummel Airport in Topping, VA.
