The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors (MCBS) voted on July 7 to allow Middlesex County Public School (MCPS) officials and Hartfield District Supervisor John Koontz to move forward with design development for a historical decorative mural.
The historical mural will be painted on the side of the concrete block bus maintenance garage shop that faces General Puller Highway (Route 33) at Cooks Corner.
As part of the planning of the Cooks Corner revitalization project by the county, the vocational/agriculture building is scheduled to be moved across the road onto county owned property and refurbished for use as a restaurant.
At the July 7 meeting, Koontz said when that building is moved it will leave the side of the bus garage “clearly” visible to those traveling Route 33.
