Clarence E. Marshall

In the quiet afternoon of Thursday, July 23, 2020, Clarence E Marshall slipped away to be greeted in heaven by his son Michael; his parents, Roger and Florence “Pearl”; his sisters, Elfie and Joyce; and his brothers, Wilton Sr., Earl and Vernon.

“Uncle Mo.” as many knew him, never met a stranger and loved playing his guitar and singing with his fellow family and friends.  A waterman by trade he owned and operated C.E. Marshall Seafood Inc. for 40 years. He was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church for more than 50 years serving as a deacon and singing in the choir.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Janet of 66 years; daughter, Vicky Timmons; grandchildren, Ashley and Marshall Timmons, and Chris Marshall.  He will be missed by his three great-grandchildren who he dearly loved, Michaela, Abi, and Carley Marshall.  His brother, Albert Marshall (Jean); and sister, Christine Ware; and many nieces and nephews. Also, a special friend, Mattie Pittman.

Visitation was 6:30-8 p.m. Saturday, July 25 at Hermitage Baptist Church.

The memorial service was 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26 at Hermitage Baptist Church and intermit followed. Arrangements were made by Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda.

Current state-mandated guidelines applied to all in attendance, including social distancing and appropriate face covering and your understanding was appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Upper Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department or to Hermitage Baptist Church.
