Recent events show that world is broken

Pastor Terry K. Morrison

God’s kingdom appears upside down in comparison to the way the world often works. When Jesus walked the earth, there was oppression, injustice, hypocrisy, abuse, and every type of evil that still plagues the world today. In these past months, weeks, and days we have seen very clearly just how broken the world is. There are problems of disease, fear, hate, injustice and oppression that we can see not only every time we turn on the TV but also when we look out our own windows. Jesus came to earth to address the problems in the world, but not the way that people thought He would. Jesus is still working to address the problems in the world, but many of the problems we see are merely symptoms of a greater problem.

The word blessed is often used when things are going well, when we have something new, or when all is right in our life. But is it possible to be blessed when it feels like our world is falling apart? Does God see us when we are hurting? Does God see us…
