The 63rd annual Urbanna Oyster Festival, originally set for this coming Nov. 6 and 7, has been canceled, Wayne Jessie, chairman of the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors and a festival board member, said at the July 7 supervisors meeting.
The 2020 cancellation of the area’s premier annual autumn festival is reportedly due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Oyster Festival Queen Contest is continuing however.
