Family and friends of Evaleigh Estes presented a surprise drive-by birthday parade Sunday for the 95-year-old at her home on Syringa Road in Wake.
More than 30 vehicles, including two Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office patrol cars and a Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department fire truck, were part of the birthday parade that started at Freeshade Community Center at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Evaleigh was seated under a tent at the end of her driveway as cars passed with family and friends honking horns and some holding up birthday banners for the longtime county resident.
She will soon be leaving Middlesex, as her home for more than 60 years in Wake has been sold and she plans to…
