Deltas win in ninth inning comeback, split series

This past weekend was one of improvement for the Deltaville Deltas. Consecutively, they lost, tied and won their three game series, capping the weekend with a ninth inning comeback victory on Sunday afternoon against the Richmond El Heaters.

Thursday night’s loss to the Mechanicsville 101’s was not a league contest. The team sits with a record of 2-1-1 overall, and 1-0-1 in league play, in a tie for third place.

Deltaville returns home on Saturday for a July 4 showdown with the Tappahannock Tides at 7:30 p.m. On Monday, the Deltas travel back to Richmond for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Richmond Mets…
