Nine longtime staffers retire from Middlesex County Public Schools

by Larry Chowning –

Middlesex County Public Schools (MCPS) has five longtime teachers and four other school employees retiring this year with 250 years of collective service to the MCPS.

The Middlesex County School Board honored the 2020 retirees at the board’s June 8 regular monthly meeting. The assistant school superintendent, Dr. Tracy Seitz, thanked the retirees and lamented that the school system, due to COVID-19, cannot present its annual retiree dinner and banquet.

Dr. Seitz recognized each retiree at the meeting. The five teachers retiring are Kim Aliff, Paula Harcum, Terry Rainier, Wendolyn Paige-Olivis and Jeannie Duke.

School bus drivers Cathy Kirkland and Arlene Gray, along with Supervisor of School Nutrition Margo Bridge and her husband Richard Bridge in maintenance are also retiring.
