Mostly using church distribution sites, Hands Across Middlesex provides needed items to all its existing clients and an ever-increasing number of new clients.
Hands’ distribution schedule includes:
- Cryer Center — 10 a.m.-4 p.m. second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
- Union Shiloh Baptist Church in upper-Middlesex County (Jamaica/Laneview) — 9-11 a.m. first Tuesday of the month.
- Clarksbury United Methodist Church in lower Middlesex County (Hartfield/Deltaville) — 9-11 a.m. first Saturday of the month.
- Urbanna Baptist Church in central Middlesex County (Urbanna/Saluda) — 9-11 a.m. third Tuesday of the month (this is a new day and time).
Hands Across Middlesex’s pantry distributions provide dry-food bags that include canned goods, cereal, boxed items, fresh produce and bakery, meat, dairy and household items and more. Hands volunteers use a no-physical contact, drive-through protocol that provides a minimum wait for clients.
If you cannot get out to one of the Hands’ distributions or have an immediate need, call 804-758-2044 and leave a message.
