In-person Mass returns to Church of Visitation

Parishioners must follow special Diocesan and governor guidelines for social distancing

For the past four weeks, Church of the Visitation has been celebrating public Mass at 9 a.m. Sunday. Following Diocesan guidelines and those of the governor, the Topping-based Roman Catholic church revamped its seating to provide seating for approximately 100 persons with appropriate social distancing space.

The church permits half of its parishioners to attend Mass each Sunday, dividing the parish by alphabet, with a few exceptions. All parishioners and visitors are required to wear masks, and the ushers greet the attendees, ask three simple questions, which require a “Yes” answer to enter, and seat them. The ushers…
